Accademia Polis is a virtual medical platform that has the purpose of allowing the community of specialists to navigate by looking at both complex surgical operations and to explore topics of a specialist nature by dealing with the most advanced and modern techniques and treatment protocols.
 
The purpose of this platform is above all an attempt to democratize medicine by making it accessible to everyone, especially to those doctors from countries with limited resources who, unable to travel, still manage to learn about the development and modernity of innovative techniques.
Academia Polis was created thanks to the support of a philanthropic institution (Fondazione Prossimo Mio) which believed in this path of democratization of medicine.

The Prossimo Mio Foundation was born in 2019 at the behest of Floriano Priori and Paola Priori Koelliker and is the realization of a dream and a project long cherished and strongly desired. In fact, the Founders, as soon as they obtained the Recognition of the legal personality of the Prossimo Mio ETS Foundation, decided, through the donation of their assets, to make it immediately operational. Able to promote, support and realize, in the present and in the future, the projects that are closest to their hearts: scientific research and the support and assistance of the most fragile categories.
